Storms miss county

Police Report

WASHINGTON — COUNTY REPORT

Thursday

12:49 a.m. - An accident was reported on I-69. A vehicle was down the embankment. Pike County sent EMS and the fire department and the State Police handled the rest of the call.

12:37 a.m. - A jailer from the station came in and reported that a car on CR 725S was stuck in the middle of the road from the storm and it was still there now. The vehicle was towed.

12:09 a.m. - A Perdue feed truck on SR 57 hit a deer and was pulled over by Sugarland Memorial Gardens. A state report was filed.

Wednesday

7:55 p.m. - A caller outside of Odon reported that a tree and power lines were in the road.

6:50 p.m. - A caller on 1276E 250N reported a minor accident. A field copy was filed.

5:49 p.m. - A caller on US 50 reported a reckless driver in a white Ford Ranger. 

4:22 p.m. - A caller on SR 58 outside of Odon reported a tree was down across the road and power lines were also in the roadway. REMC was contacted and the tree was removed.

3:58 p.m. - A caller near 550N 900E reported water over the road and a white van stuck in the water. The van was removed from the water and other motorists were advised to turn around.

3:20 p.m. - A caller near 13492 SR 58  reported a car in a ditch. The property owner was contacted and arrangements were made to have the car removed.

2:47 p.m. - A caller on SR 231 reported a tree had fallen across the road near Farlen. 

2:20 p.m. - A caller at SR 57 and Indian Street in Elnora reported a tree had fallen across the road. Other debris in the road was also reported in the Elnora area.

1:24 p.m. -  A caller at 1010N 200W requested to speak  to officers about damage to his property. The caller said that on more than one occasion subjects have been driving by yelling foul language and had been riding ATVs in his fields. Extra patrol was requested.
