ELNORA — Sandborn bible school to start

Sandborn-Westphalia Community Bible school will be held July 8-12, 5:45 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Sandborn Baptist Church for ages 4 years and up.

Shot clinic dates for July

The Daviess County Health Department will sponsor immunization clinics for children under the age of 19 years from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Dr. Holsopple’s office; from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. July 16 at Eastside Park Community Building; from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. July 19 at Country Health Clinic, Cannelburg Road; and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. July 30 at Odon Community Building. An immunization record is required.

There is an $8 administration fee for each injection. Children under 18 years of age need to be accompanied by an adult. You may also call 254-8666 to schedule your child for an appointment for immunizations.

SR 57 to close near Newberry

The Indiana Department of Transportation announced SR 57 will be closing for repairs to the deck of the White River Bridge in Newberry.

On Tuesday at about 6 a.m., maintenance crews will close SR 57 from the junction of SR 58N to the junction of SR 54S. Crews will be making repairs to the bridge 5.9 miles north of the SR 58 junction.

All work is scheduled to be complete by noon Wednesday weather permitting.

The official detour will route traffic on SR 58, SR 67 and SR 54.

Construction of new White River bridges will begin later this summer.

Hinkle family  reunion set

The Hinkle family reunion will be held from noon to 6 p.m. July 20 at Eastside Park pavilion, with a catered meal at 1 p.m.
