Police Report

WASHINGTON — CITY REPORT

Thursday

11:03 a.m. - Barbara Edrington, 103 N.W. 12th St., reported a used syringe in her back yard. The syringe was picked up and disposed of.

COUNTY REPORT

Wednesday

6:37 p.m. - A male caller at 401 S. Spring St., Odon, said his windows were shot with a BB gun.

4:52 a.m. - A male caller reported an accident at SR 257 and the U.S. 50 bypass. One person was taken to Daviess Community Hospital for blood work.

An accident report is being completed.

4:20 a.m. - A caller said three drunk males were harassing a semi driver trying to unload a truck at Dollar General store in Odon. Deputies dispersed the males.

4:17 a.m. - A caller reported a house fire at 305 N. Elm St. in Odon.

Southwest Medical EMS reported the home was fully engulfed when they arrived and all persons were out of the home. Odon and Elnora volunteer firefighters were paged to the scene and the fire was out by 7:44 a.m.

COUNTY ACCIDENTS

Wednesday

7:59 a.m. - An unknown driver driving a stolen 2001 Kia Spectra owned by William A. Byrer, Elnora, drove off CR 1400N, slid into a fence and tree owned by Marvin Jolliff. The car was then set on fire. Damage was estimated between $5,000 and $10,000.

3:15 a.m. - Sylvan R. Martin, 23, Odon, was driving a 2007 Toyota Corolla off of CR 1100N near CR 900E and into a ditch. Martin then left the scene of the accident before deputies could arrive.

He was cited for leaving and damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
