Patton to join staff at DCH

Daviess Community Hospital is pleased to announce that R. Michael Patton, MD, has joined the staff of Daviess Community Hospital as an interim general surgeon.

Dr. Patton is a graduate of the University of North Carolina with bachelor’s degrees in biology. He then earned his MD degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Dr. Patton is board certified in general surgery. His medical background includes general surgery practices in both Alabama and North Carolina over the past 14 years.

Dr. Patton joins Albert Tuono, MD, who specializes in general, laparoscopic, laser surgery, and wound care. Dr. Tuono has been performing surgeries and scopes at Daviess Community Hospital since 2011.

“Dr. Patton’s arrival coupled with the continued expert care provided to our patients by Dr. Albert Tuono and Dr. Reginald Sandy allows us to continue providing additional surgical services to our community and surrounding area,” says David Bixler, CEO. “We are pleased to announce this development at DCH.”

Reginald Sandy, DO, will now see patients at Washington Surgical Associates every Wednesday beginning March 19. Dr. Sandy is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He specializes in the treatment of digestive organs involving the stomach, bowels, liver and gallbladder and performs various scopes at Daviess Community Hospital.

Dr. Patton will see his first patient at Washington Surgical Associates on March 13. For an appointment with either Dr. Patton or Dr. Tuono, call 812-254-8856.

To make an appointment to see Dr. Sandy at the Washington office, call 812-885-8770.
