Friday

10:32 a.m. - An employee of First Federal Bank, 439S SR 57, said a counterfeit $50 bill was found in a deposit from El Asadero, 303 E. Nat’l Hwy. The bill had been washed and still had the $5 strip on the bill. An investigation was started and the bill sent to the U.S. Secret Service.

Thursday

11:23 p.m. - A female caller reported a breaking-and-entering at 900 S. Meridan St., Apt. 18. A computer was damaged and a suspect named.

5:19 p.m. - A male caller reported a fight in a hallway at 900 S. Meridian St., Building 2. A verbal altercation became physical and the parties were separated.

3:57 p.m. - An employee of Chuckle’s, 201 N.E. Fifth St., reported a drive-off worth $20 by a driver in a green van. Officers pulled over the driver on Memorial Avenue and the driver went back to pay for the gas.

COUNTY REPORT

Thursday

10:53 a.m. - A caller reported a garage and camper fire at 12577 South Point Drive, Loogootee. The caller said two propane tanks had exploded. Montgomery and Cannelburg volunteer fire departments responded and they requested a tanker from the Loogootee Volunteer Fire Department. Crews were at the scene until 12:08 p.m.

ARRESTS

Sena Watkins, 29, Washington, was arrested by city police Thursday on a writ of attachment. She was released from the Daviess County Security Center on $500 bond.

Christina Walls, 43, Washington, was arrested by city police Thursday for driving while suspended with a prior misdemeanor. She was being held on $2,000 bond.

John Lively, 23, Brownsburg, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Thursday on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence for unlawful possession of a syringe. He was being held on $5,000 bond.
