Lunch and learn series at WestGate coming

The Indiana-Kentucky/George Rogers Clark Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association is pleased to welcome Jonathan George, Brig. Gen. USAF (Ret.) to speak at the March 19 Lunch and Learn at WestGate Academy from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The topic of his presentation is timely and crucial to our national security: Tactical Decisions are Driving America’s Strategy.

Based on his 30-year military career in the United States Air Force, Jonathan George is well qualified to address the subject. General George (Ret.) was commissioned in 1981 and had a variety of operational and staff assignments, including command of a bomb squadron, a bomb group, and air expeditionary wing, a bomb wing and an intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance wing. His staff assignments have been at the Headquarters U.S. Air Force, U.S. Strategic Command, U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, Department of Agriculture and Department of Energy.

He was a command pilot with more than 4,000 flying hours in various aircraft.

His last two assignments prior to retirement were: Principal Assistant Administrator for Military Application, Deputy Administrator for Defense Programs, National Nuclear Security Administration, Department of Energy and Director, Strategic Capabilities Policy, National Security Council.

Admission will be $5 at the door. All proceeds will be devoted to the George Rogers Clark Scholarship Fund and future chapter events. Lunch at an additional cost will be available from Cedar Hill Catering. For a reservation or further information please contact: ndia.crane@gmail.com
