---- — The second edition of Hatchet Highlights invited members of the community to visit the high school, have a free dinner and check out what Washington High School has to offer its students. The event kicked off at 5:30 p.m. with a free soup supper and tasting contest. Several varieties of soup were prepared by each department and members of the public as well as a handful of judges selected the guidance and athletic department as the winner. Their names will be placed a plaque commemorating the win.
At the conclusion of the soup supper, attendees made their way to the Hatchet House where they were able to peruse tables showing off the work of the students in various clubs, departments, and extra curricular activities. The Liverpool Legends, who performed Friday evening in the auditorium made an appearance as well. Members of the various choirs, drumline, band and dance teams showcased their talents in the auditorium as well.
