Tuesday

7:27 a.m. - Police were called to an accident at 210 N.E. Fifth St. A 13-year-old girl had been struck by a van. The girl was taken to the emergency room at Daviess Community Hospital. Officers have not yet completed the report.

Monday

3:10 p.m. - A resident at 201 E. Pearl St. reported someone shot holes in the windows and siding of their home with a BB gun.

3:21 p.m. - A woman said someone had enterred her residence at 520 S.E. Second St. and taken a $925 money order, six or seven rings, earrings, bracelet, necklaces and a watch.

COUNTY REPORTS

Tuesday

9:16 a.m. - A citizen reported a semi was hauling coal near U.S. 50 and Cannelburg Road without a tarp and was throwing coal all over the roadway.

4:15 p.m. - A motorist reported hitting a deer at North 650-E and South Highway 50.

4:31 p.m. - A woman reported someone was getting into her home at 2531West Old Highway 50 and moving things around but not taking anything.

4:45 p.m. - Deputies received a report from 11378-East 350-North that someone had stolen a Harley-Davidson motorcycle from a garage.

9:36 p.m. - Deputies responded to a call of a truck-buggy accident at North 900-E and East 650-N. No injuries were reported.

ARRESTS

Washington Police arrested Joseph Mott of Washington, 35, on charges possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, operating while intoxicated, and three counts of operating while intoxicated while endangering a person. He was taken to the Daviess County Jail and held on $12,500 bond.

Daviess County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Andrew Bechtel, 35, of Canyonville, Ore. on a warrant for failure to appear for residential entry, strangulation, battery resulting in bodily injury, disorderly conduct and public intoxication. He was taken to the Daviess County Jail and was being held on $10,000 bond.

Washington City Police arrested Marcarito Hernandes-Vera, 24, of Washington on charges of operating a vehicle never receiving a license and false informing. He was taken to the Daviess County Jail and was being held on $4,500 bond.

Washington City Police arrested John Ward, 30, of Washington on a charge of operating a vehicle never receiving a license. He was taken to the Daviess County Jail and held on $2,000 bond.

Washington City Police arrested Daniel Callahan, 30, of Plainville for possession of a syringe. He was taken to the Daviess County Jail and held on $2,000 bond.
