Thursday

5:09 a.m. - A resident reported two tires on a truck had been slashed while parked in the driveway at 503 N.E. First St.

12:43 p.m. - Police received a report from a woman that she had just returned from shopping at Walmart Supercenter,100 Bypass 50 Plaza, and could not locate her purse. Police contacted Walmart and employees there said they had found it.

1:57 p.m. - An employee at Chuckles, 201 N.E. Fifth St., reported someone pumped $10 in gas and drove away without paying.

2:48 p.m. - Police received a call from a resident who said that while shopping at Walmart Supercenter,100 Bypass 50, someone stole the license plate off of her vehicle.

Wednesday

8:01 p.m. - A woman reported she had been shopping at 115 Cherry Tree Plaza and when she returned home her purse was missing.

Wednesday

5:24 p.m. - A caller at 10599E 100S reported cows out.

4:00 p.m. - A caller at the Waco Church, 8683E 700S, reported he had received a call about a window being busted at the church and the door opened. Officers discovered the back door to the church had been kicked in. No items were taken from the building but the door was damaged.

11:59 a.m. - A silent residential alarm was activated at a residence on SR 57. Officers said the residence was not secured but packages had been delivered and the door may not have been properly closed. Officers secured the home.

10:29 a.m. - A caller on SR 57 near the Prairie Creek Bridge reported a 1980s model car driving in the wrong lane and had ran someone off the road.

ARREST

Trey Taylor, 21, Washington, was arrested Wednesday by city police for possession of a Schedule III controlled substance. He was released on $2,500 bond.

Report on child hit by bus completed Washington City Police have completed the report on an accident Monday morning near Washington Junior High School. Police report Amy Cummings, 33, of Washington was driving north on SR 57 around 7:27 a.m. when a pedestrian ran in front of her Dodge Van just north of the intersection with Hefron St. Police say that while Cummings tried to stop she was unable to avoid hitting the pedestrian, identified as Calista Kohlman, 14, of Washington. Kohlman was taken to Daviess Community Hospital for treatment after complaining of pain to the hip and upper leg.
