11:21 a.m. - David Grannan reported his wife found a syringe near the Carnegie Public Library. The syringe was disposed of.

10:28 a.m. - William Davis, 218 Front St., said his residence was egged during the night. He also reported other acts of vandalism in his neighborhood.

7:51 a.m. - Cary Ridgley, 900 S. Meridian St., Building 2, said a radio was taken from her vehicle the night before.


10 p.m. - A caller reported a fight at the Antique Bar, 100 E. Main St. Officers found an unruly female that employees had asked to leave.

9:41 p.m. - An employee of Walmart, 100 Bypass 50 Plaza, reported a shoplifter. Charges are being filed.

8:58 p.m. - Gordon Sneed, 1006 N.E. Second St., said glass was broken on his garage door. No entry was gained.

8:18 p.m. - Elizabeth Showalter, 1026 N. St. John’s Road, said fallen branch had broken the rear window of her car. A report was made.

3:15 p.m. - Bart Drew, reported limbs down on Meridian and Hefron streets. The city street department was called.



11:34 p.m. - Martin County dispatch requested deputies to help with a situation where a male with a knife had locked himself in a house. Later, dispatch said the male was heading towards Daviess County in a stolen Ford Ranger and he was considered armed and dangerous. At 12:48 a.m., the truck was found abandoned. Martin County called later and said one of the suspects was in custody.

6:03 p.m. - A caller reported a cow out in the road on CR 1100E. The owner was contacted.

12:09 p.m. - A female caller reported from an address on Bent Avenue that she had almost been raped. The caller could not be found when several deputies arrived on the scene. Deputies also checked the homes of neighbors and the caller could not be found.

11:32 a.m. - A call reported cows out on CRs 550S and 100W. The owner of the cows was contacted.

9:21 a.m. - A caller reported an accident with a minor injury between CRs 100N and 200N. A semi was involved but the injured did not require medical treatment. A stack of 2x4 boards was left in a field in the matter and an accident report is being completed.


Guadalupe Fuentes III, 20, Washington, was arrested by city police Friday on a warrant for operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person and operating a motor vehicle while never receiving a license. He was being held at the Daviess County Security Center on $2,000 bond.

Jennifer Webster, 47, Washington, was arrested by city police Thursday on an out-of-county writ of attachment. She was being held without bond.

Joshalin Russell, 36, Washington, was arrested by city police Thursday on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence for possession of methamphetamine. He was being held on $10,000 bond.

Brenda Bentley, 44, Washington, was arrested by city police Thursday on a warrant for theft. She was released on $2,500 bond.

Randolph Ward, 52, Washington, was arrested by city police Thursday on an out-of-county writ of attachment. He was being held without bond.
