10:20 a.m. - A caller on CR 900E reported that batteries had been taken from his farm tractors.



12:03 a.m. - Cory Enlow , 1304 Vincennes Ave., reported that his 2003 blue Yamaha Zuma moped was stolen and he may know who took the moped.


4:23 p.m. - An employee of Fast Max, E. Nat’l Hwy., reported an unidentified vehicle drove off without paying for $80 in fuel.

4:16 p.m. - A complainant near the Sports Complex found a purse. Officers determined the purse, which was filled with dirt, belonged to a child and was placed in the lost and found.


Cornelius King, Jr., Washington, was arrested Wednesday by Washington police for neglect of a dependent. Bond was set at $2,500.

9:08 a.m. - Staci R. Whitehead Morrow, 42, Crane, was stopped at SR 58 in her Ford Mustang waiting on oncoming traffic and was signaling to turn left to turn on East St. in Odon. Dalton N. Atchley,20, Odon, was traveling west on SR 58 in his Dodge Avenger and was pulled up behind Morrow.

Atchley looked away from the road and when he looked back, Morrow had stopped.

Atchley applied the brakes causing the brakes to lock up and he tried to steer away from Morrow’s vehicle but struck her on the driver’s side rear.

Both Morrow and Atchley complained of back pain and were transported to Daviess Community Hospital.
