5:21 a.m. Police received a report of a man coming out of the rear of the Speed Lube Building at 416 S.E. Fourth and running across the Post Office Parking Lot. Officers found a rear door to the building had been broken out.
8:56 a.m. Officers were called to 603 Center where a resident reported finding a trash meth lab behind the residence.
LOOGOOTEE CITY POLICE
On Tuesday Police arrested Daniel Moffett, 25, of Loogootee on a charge of burglary. Police say Moffett broke into Dr. Yoon’s Medical Office in Loogootee. Moffett was taken to the Martin County Security Center.
7:05 a.m. - A caller at 400 E. Walnut St., Odon, reported a possible gas leak.
5:03 p.m. - A caller at 7894 S. SR 257 reported hearing gun shots near her home. Officers checked out the area but did not find anything.
2:29 p.m. - A caller at the Long Branch Saloon, 109 N. Odon St., Elnora, reported she had keys stolen Saturday night from the Long Branch and was unable to drive her car home. She had to get an extra set of keys and when she came back to get the car it had been stolen. The car is 2010 white, Kia Forte. The vehicle was located near the post office.
7:24 a.m. - A caller on Hastings Street in Montgomery reported that a known suspect had taken off with her brother’s Harley Davidson motorcycle. No charges were filed.
5:37 p.m. - A caller reported a male wearing a blue shirt and white hair walking south on CR 700E and seems to be confused. The man’s sister picked the person up.
1:15 p.m. - A caller reported a child locked inside a vehicle in Odon. A locksmith was called but the child was out of the vehicle safely by the time the locksmith arrived.
2:36 p.m. - A caller reported a theft in progress on 1875W 50N. Items were taken by a suspected white male, reportedly 5 feet tall,medium build and red hair and red beard.
2:20 p.m. - A caller at Oak Grove Cemetery reported the theft of two weed trimmers. A report was made.
11:34 a.m. - A caller reported two cows were out on CR 900E. The owner of the cows was called and they were rounded up.
Jose Diaz-Yanez, 29, Washington, was arrested by state police Friday on a failure to appear warrant for operating a vehicle while never receiving a license and possession of marijuana under 30 grams. He was being held at the Daviess County Security Center on $5,000 bond.
Nelson V. Castillo, 39, no address given, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Friday operating a vehicle while never receiving a license. He was being held on $2,000 bond.
Riley Joseph Hill, 18, Montgomery, was arrested Monday by Washington police on three counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession or paraphernalia. Bond was set at $6,000.
Justin Matthew Miller, 21, Washington, was arrested Monday by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant for two counts of theft and receiving stolen property. He was released on $2,500 bond.
Michael John Siekmann, 40, Washington, was arrested Monday by Washington police on a warrant for parole violation and new charges of operator never licensed. No bond was set.
