2:55 p.m. - The building owner of the former Speed Lube at 416 SR 57S reported a breaking and entering where someone was performing oil changes. At 11:48 p.m. Tuesday, officers noticed a window broken in the rear of the building.

2 p.m. - An employee of Dollar General store, 900 W. Nat’l Hwy., reported a shoplifter. No charges were filed and the male was asked not to return to the store.

1:38 p.m. - Patsy Smith reported a hit-and-run accident while parked at CVS, 307 E. Nat’l Hwy. A report was made.

1:24 p.m. - A female caller reported finding a trash lab on Cosby Road near S.W. 10th Street. The item was disposed.

1:08 p.m. - Asst. Chief Todd Church found a game console and a prescription bottle in the woodline near St. John’s Cemetery. The items were reported stolen.

7:02 a.m. - An employee of Chuckle’s, 201 N.E. Fifth St., reported a drive-off worth $50 in gas. A white Ford F-350 was seen leaving the scene.

6:35 a.m. - A male caller reported a female was using a motorized wheelchair with a light on State Street that was almost hit by a vehicle. Officers were unable to locate the person.

12:23 a.m. - A male caller reported a possible person in his front yard at 300 Vine St. No one was found.


5:52 p.m. - Lana Drew for Four Rivers/Red Door, 2212 E. Nat’l Hwy., reported the theft of $60 worth in gasoline. A report was made.



11:35 a.m. - A male caller at 13329N 200E reported items taken. Extra patrol was requested.

10:46 a.m. - A caller at 2503S 300W reported the theft of a pressure washer and several other large items from the night before.


Gilbert Sidebottom, 29, Washington, was arrested by city police Wednesday for invasion of privacy. He was released on $2,000 bond.
