Monday

12:26 a.m. - A caller near 1000 N. CR 475 E. reported a personal injury accident. Joshua K. Taylor, 23, Montgomery, had driven his 2002 Dodge Intrepid off the road and into a ditch. The car then flipped end over end. Taylor, who was uninjured, left the scene of the accident and walked to Plainville. Officers located Taylor in Plainville where he was subject to a blood alcohol content test where he blew .153 and .14 when he was booked into the Daviess County Security Center for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Sunday

7:47 p.m. - A caller at Chuckles, SR 58 in Odon, reported a car had struck a pole in the store parking lot.

Friday

12:45 p.m. - An employee of Shoe Show, 1735 S. SR 57, reported a possible shoplifter.

10:17 a.m. - A caller at 2987 N. CR 1200 E. near Loogootee reported guns missing from their home. A suspect was in mind and the caller said that the suspect had gained entry through a back door.

4:34 a.m. - A caller near 1210 W. Old U.S. 50 reported a wrecked vehicle in her front yard. The vehicle sustained little damage but an electrical wire was damage. Contact was made with city power and light.

CITY REPORT

Monday

5:37 a.m- Debra Fidler, 508 N. SR 37, reported that her engagement ring had been stolen and she had a suspect in mind. Fidler also reported her identification had been lost.

Sunday

Sharon Walford, 618 W. Walnut St., reported her stove blew up. When the fire department arrived no smoke was showing.

ARRESTS

Paul B. Morris, 42, Vincennes, was arrested Friday by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant for theft. Bond was set at $2,500.

Jakob M. Ochs, 19, Vincennes, was arrested Friday by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant for conspiracy to commit fraud. Bond was set at $2,500.

Frank Smith, 24, Washington, was arrested Saturday by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department on three counts of trespassing, criminal mischief, and false informing. No bond was set.

Jonathan Baker, 33, Washington, was arrested Sunday by Washington police for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. No bond was set.

Nancy Benjamin, 52, Washington, was arrested Sunday by Washington police for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Bond was set at $2,000.

Joshua Kale Taylor, 23, Montgomery, was arrested Monday by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. No bond was set.

Jeff Foster, Washington, was arrested Monday by Washington police. No other details were available at press time.
