MONTGOMERY — Two Daviess County men were arrested on a list of drug-related charges Saturday.
Preston L. Matteson, 26, Washington, and Chad A. Mattingly, 37, Montgomery were taken in after a short pursuit by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies around 6 a.m.
According to the dispatch reports, deputies were originally called for a domestic dispute in Montgomery and eventually headed to 458 Reel Street. No one was at the home, but deputies caught up with a vehicle at Second and Rudolph streets where the short pursuit ended. The two were then taken into custody.
Both Matteson and Mattingly were charged with: possession of marijuana over 30 grams, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, conspiracy to commit dealing a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, conspiracy to commit dealing a Schedule III controlled substance, two counts of possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, two counts of conspiracy to commit dealing a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of a legend drug and possession of a handgun without a license.
Matteson was further charged with resisting law enforcement in a vehicle and possession of marijuana. Mattingly was also charged with possession of paraphernalia and possession of a handgun by a serious violent felon.
Court documents were still being processed Monday. Both men were being held at the Daviess County Security Center on $100,000 bond.
