WASHINGTON — CITY REPORT

Wednesday

12:39 a.m. - A male caller at 313 S.E. 13th St. reported the theft of medication. A suspect was named.

Tuesday

9:07 p.m. - Brian Tennis reported water overflowing from the site of the water tower on Bedford Road and onto his property. The water department was called.

4:41 p.m. - An employee of Big O Tire, 203 S.E. Third St., said someone was vandalizing a vehicle on the property of the tire shop. The owner of the vehicle was found vandalizing his own car due to a dispute with the shop.

The situation was resolved.

COUNTY REPORT

Tuesday

9:32 a.m.- A caller on SR 257 near CR 250S reported that someone pouring used motor oil over the gravel to control the dust. This caused a mess all over SR 257 and has caused the road to be slick.

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management was contacted and the county highway crews started to clean up the mess. Officers tried to make contact with the homeowner that have for the used oil on the road to make them aware of the local ordinance and the IDEM ordinance they also violated.

8:33 a.m.- A caller at 3482S 300W reported that a person is building turkey barns and the construction company is pouring concrete. The company was washing out the concrete trucks on the caller’s farm property which the caller keeps mowed.

The caller spoke with someone on the job site who was very rude and said there was nothing the caller could do about them washing out the trucks there. The caller requested that someone speak with the construction crew and ask that they clean up the area.

8:03 a.m. - A caller at 2835W 450S reported that his neighbor’s truck was off in a ditch west of the residence. A wrecker was called for the vehicle that had false and fictitious plates and insurance. The Ford F-250 will be on hold until the driver comes forward.

ARRESTS

Autumn Hatton, 34, Washington, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday on a failure to appear warrant for theft. She was released from the Daviess County Security Center on $2,000 bond.

Garaudy Milien, 24, Washington, was arrested by city police Tuesday for two counts of sexual battery. He was being held on $5,000 bond.
