WASHINGTON —

 PowerHouse fundraiser

There will be a benefit concert at the old WC Middle School gym, 200 W. Main St., for the Power House tonightstarting at 7 p.m.  Three acts with local roots will be performing.  Joe Howard will be playing acoustic guitar accompanied by Jenna Clouse’s vocals.  The Rocky Rhoads will be playing bluegrass.  Wire Method is a band from Georgia that plays “organic indie/alt.” Three of the band members are sisters and the daughters of Allen Scott, former pastor of Antioch Christian Church in Washington. 

The coffee shop will be open and all performances will be family friendly. 

Entrance is free, but there will be a freewill offering.

 

Chuch party in Edwardsport

The First Baptist Church of Edwardsport will be hosting a New Year’s Eve party beginning at 8 p.m. on Dec. 31. The evening will include music by Circle of Friends, For Heaven’s Sake and others. Light refreshments will be available all evening in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is welcome.
