Marijuana found after traffic stop

WASHINGTON — CITY REPORT

Tuesday

10:45 p.m. - Three city officers and two Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies, and a WPD K-9 assisted state police at a traffic stop at U.S. 50 and CR 350E. Dispatch records reported three were arrested and a significant amount of marijuana was found.

COUNTY REPORT

Tuesday

3:56 a.m. - A caller said her husband was ill and walking to Daviess Community Hospital on SR 57, 4 or 5 miles south of Washington. The person was picked up and taken to the hospital.

1:52 p.m. – A male reported a stolen handgun from a home on CR 75S. An offense report was taken.

1:17 p.m. - Bradley VanPatten, 1678W 150N, reported his wife’s wedding and anniversary rings were stolen.

ARRESTS

Zachary Alexander Byers, 19, Washington, was arrested by city police Tuesday for possession of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a park, dealing of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a park and possession of paraphernalia. He is being held at the Daviess County Security Center without bond.

Garrett Morley, 18, Petersburg, was arrested by state police Tuesday for possession of marijuana under 30 grams. He was being held without bond.

Stephanie Renault, 19, Petersburg, was arrested by state police Tuesday for possession of marijuana over 30 grams and dealing in marijuana. She was being held without bond.

Htay Reh, 37, Indianapolis, was arrested by city police Tuesday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person following a an accident at Front and Lincoln streets. He was being held on $4,000 bond.

Robert Cornelius, 39, Dugger, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated on a controlled substance. He was being held on $2,000 bond.
