Buggy hits off road path

WASHINGTON —

Wednesday

3:53 p.m. -  Susan M. Scott, Shoals, was stopped at the stop sign waiting on westbound traffic. Scott stated there was a vehicle in the turn lane of US 50 that was going to exit to go west on Business 50. Scott, driving a 2006 blue Toyota Sienna, started to pull away from the stop sign crossing and did not see Katie J. Aldred, Washington, beside the vehicle that turned. Aldred started when Scott pulled out she had tried to avoid her vehicle but could not. Aldred’s vehicle, a 2002 Silver Chevy S-10 extended 4x4, struck Scott’s vehicle on the rear panel of the driver’s side.  After impact, Scott’s vehicle came to rest in the median. Aldred’s vehicle came to rest next to a stop sign. Damage was estimated at $10,000.

CITY REPORT

Friday

11:58 a.m. - Chuckles, SR 57S and US 50 Bypass, reported a drive off of $62.42 in gasoline. The vehicle was a burgundy Ford SUV. The vehicle was last seen headed north on SR 57.

9:03 a.m. - Rhonda Brown requested an ambulance for a man she discovered lying in the way of traffic on Old Vincennes Road. The man was bleeding from the head but breathing. The complaint was transferred to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.

1:30 a.m. - A security officer at Daviess Community Hospital reported a late model white four-door sedan with two females inside was parked near the dialysis center. A male with something under his shirt approached the vehicle. The vehicle then drove away and was last seen on 14th Street.

Thursday

10:42 p.m. - An unknown caller at 1500 Jane Ann Ct. reported that the neighbors were shooting off fireworks that were traveling over the house and landing in the backyard. The neighbor was told not to set off any other fireworks.

7:40 p.m. - A caller at 1307 Walnut St., reported a utility pole was sparking and power at the residence was fluctuating. Line crews were contacted.
