WASHINGTON — Solid Waste board to meet

The Daviess County Solid Waste District Board will meet at 8 a.m. Monday in the equipment building at the Daviess County Landfill. Items on the agenda include the approval of prior meetings minutes and the approval of claims. Comments from the public will be sought.

Commissioners to meet Monday

Daviess County Commissioners will meet in executive session at 8:45 a.m. Monday. The open session will follow at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Room at the courthouse. Items included on the agenda: ambulance service contract; board and commissioner appointments; health insurance amendments; driving policy.

Elnora council meets Monday

The Town of Elnora Council will hold an executive session at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Elnora Town Hall to discuss employee issues.

Loogootee school board to meet

Loogootee Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in executive session.

City Council meets Monday

There will be a public hearing to discuss the housing rehabilitation grant prior to the Washington City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers, 200 Harned Ave.

Items included on the Council agenda: ordinance to rezone land on Troy Road near the intersection of U.S. 50 Bypass and appointments to Redevelopment Commission for 2013.

The Board of Public Works and Safety will meet following the Council meeting. Items included on the agenda: discussion/approval of claims and permits, contract with Quest Liner, Inc., contracts with Liquid Engineering Corp., contract with H.J. Umbaugh and Assoc., and discussion on Nov. 26 meeting decision on bids for crushed stone or gravel, fill sand and concrete.

Pike school board to meet

Pike County School Corporation Board of School Trustees will meet in executive session at 6 p.m. Monday. The regular session will be at 7 p.m.

Small business workshop Tuesday

Daviess County Economic Development Corp will host a small business workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday in the conference room, 219 E. Main St. There is a $25 registration fee which includes a comprehensive workbook. Register at www.isbdc.org.
