WASHINGTON — B-R board meeting

Barr-Reeve Community Schools Board of School Trustees will meet in executive session at 7 p.m. Tuesday to discuss collective bargaining and a job performance evaluation.

The open session will being at 8 p.m. Items on the agenda: financial reports; treasurer’s reports; textbook rental; application for grants.

City council meeting Monday

The Washington City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers, 200 Harned Ave.

Items included on the agenda: reading of resolution approving abatement; introductions of ordinances prohibiting workplace smoking, rezoning land on Troy Road, amend zoning ordinance, revising code of ordinances.

The Board of Public Works and Safety will meet immediately following the Council meeting.

Items on the agenda: discussion/approval of claims and permits and renewal of New Wave Communications contract.

Public works meeting Monday

The Washington Board of Public Works and Safety will hold a special meeting at 2 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers, 200 Harned Ave., to open bids for construction of water system improvements project.

Revival at Gospel Chapel

Full Gospel Chapel of Washington will hold a three day revival Friday through Sunday, with Dr. Philip Smith as the guest speaker. Friday and Saturday services will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday service will begin at 10 a.m.

The church is located on SR 57S, across from Jones and Sons Concrete. All are welcome.

Commissioners to meet

Daviess County Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Monday in the Commissioners’ Room at the courthouse. Items included on the agenda: Four Rivers; Ride Solutions; public comments regarding old Olon building; health insurance update; precinct order.
