WASHINGTON — COUNTY REPORT

Friday

1:58 a.m. - The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department assisted Martin County officers in taking two individuals into custody after one deputy came into contact with anhydrous ammonia.

The incident took place near Main Street and the Catholic Church in Loogootee.

Thursday

10:30 p.m. - A caller near CR14309 North, outside of Odon, reported four-wheelers driving around on the property causing a lot of noise.

9:38 p.m. - A caller near SR 58 and CR 425E reported a reckless driver. No description of the vehicle was given.

6:46 p.m. - A complainant on station reported that neighbors were playing their music loud at night and in the morning; they would ask the complainant to do things for them. When the complainant told them no, they neighbors got angry.

6:27 p.m. - A caller on CR 1800N reported that someone had stolen his lawn mower.

4:40 p.m. - A complainant advised he had his checks stolen and someone had been using them. The complainant was obtaining copies of the checks and his bank statements. A possible subject was reported.

4:23 p.m. - A caller on SR 58 just outside of Odon reported a blue Mitsubishi following too closely.

CITY REPORT

10:34 a.m. - An employee of Chuckles, 201 NE Fifth Street, reported someone drove off without paying for $70.11 in gas.

4:54 p.m. - Christ Htoo, no address given, reported that a vehicle had failed to use a turn signal causing Htoo to wreck his moped near the railroad tracks by the saddle club.

Htoo’s moped was damaged in the accident and Htoo sustained minor cuts and scrapes.

3:50 p.m. - A tradesman reported that he had been pulling up carpet at a recently purchased residence and found a canister of drugs in the cold air duct.

ARRESTS

Jessica Baer, 29, Evansville, was arrested Thursday on a warrant with three counts of theft, dealing in a controlled substance, dealing a scheduled III controlled substance. She was released on $50,000 bond.

Rigoerto Ayala, 43, Washington, was arrested Thursday by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department for operating a vehicle while intoxicated over .15 percent.  Bond was set at $2,000.

Lucas Benjamin, 19, Washington, was arrested Friday by Washington police for resisting law enforcement.  Bond was set at $2,500.
