WASHINGTON — CITY REPORT

Thursday

5:29 a.m. - Officers reported that a door appeared to be forced open at 104 E. South Street at Pro 1 Lawn Equipment. Officers were able to reach Chris Crow, owner of the business, who reported that between $150 and $200 in cash was missing along with a cash register, $500 in checks, and a 1999 KX dirt bike or motorcycle.

Wednesday

10:23 p.m. - An anonymous caller on the 800 block of Axtell Avenue reported that someone in the area had been pouring baby powder onto parked vehicles in the area. Extra patrol was requested.

8:12 p.m. - Jerry Purcell 303 E. Pearl Street, reported that someone had taken two gold chairs with cushions from his residence.

5:48 p.m. - Terry Hall, E.  Van Trees Street, reported a basketball goal was out in the street.

4:54 p.m. - Connie Rayman, 111 Jamestown Square Apartments, received  a call saying that she had been a victim of identity theft and that the person on the phone was wanting her bank account information. Rayman was advised this was a scam and to not give out any personal information.

COUNTY REPORT

Wednesday

7:55 p.m. - A caller in Plainville said he was bit by a neighbor’s dog. The dog was taken to the shelter for quarantine.

6:58 p.m. - A caller said a possible power line was down on SR 57 near Elnora. The line was not a power line and was off the road.

8:40 a.m. - A caller said while parked at the Viking Mart, Montgomery, her purse was taken. Identification and credit cards were reported missing.

8:28 a.m. - Amos Raber, 1692N 725E, reported a theft. No other information was available.

7:59 a.m. - A caller said a load of drywall fell out of a vehicle on U.S. 50 W near Maysville and is blocking the road. An INDOT crew was contacted and the debris was cleaned up.

ARRESTS

Johnathan M. Waggoner, 34, Washington, was arrested by city police Wednesday for disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. He was being held on $4,000 bond.

Brandee F. Mumma, 38, Washington, was arrested by city police Wednesday for disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. She was being held on $4,000 bond.

Timothy S. Strahle, 43, Montgomery, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Wednesday for three counts of theft, three counts of conversion, possession of paraphernalia and unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle. He was being held on $17,500 bond.

Darvin D. Lengacher, 35, Plainville, was arrested by deputies Wednesday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was being held on $2,000 bond.
