Thursday's police report

CITY REPORT

Wednesday

6:37 a.m. - David Jobe, 104 Southside Ave., said a tree limb fell on utility lines. A line crew was contacted.

1 a.m. - An employee of Casey’s, 2009 E. Nat’l Hwy., said a male did not have enough cash to pay for $29.77 in gas and had left the store. The customer came back a couple hours later and paid for the gas.

Tuesday

10:09 p.m. - A male caller said someone had taken cash from his wallet while shopping at Wal-Mart, 1801 S. SR 57. The male said a man wearing a purple shirt with a long beard was suspected, but video footage showed another person picking up the wallet.

COUNTY REPORT

Tuesday

12:44 p.m. - A female caller said she was almost hit by a road worker on CR 900E.

4:52 a.m. - A caller reported a truck stuck on CR 300N with no lights and would not start. A deputy said the truck was off the roadway.

COUNTY ACCIDENT

Saturday

5:39 p.m. - Christina M. McCray, 32, Vincennes, was driving a 2004 Buick Rendezvous west off SR 57 into Wal-Mart, 1801 S. SR 57. The Buick was in the right lane while a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier, driven by Betty J. Cannon, 79, 919 N.W. Second St., was in the left lane. The two vehicles sideswiped each other, but neither driver said they left their respective lanes. There were no injuries and damage was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.

ARRESTS

Robert W. Dixon, 21, Elnora, was arrested by Elnora police Tuesday for domestic battery. He was being held at the Daviess County Security Center on $2,000 bond.

Ryan E. Lee, 46, Washington, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence and escape. He was being held on $125,000 bond.

Luis Mora, 31, Washington, was arrested by city police Tuesday for driving while never receiving a license. He was released on $2,000 bond.

Grant A. Olson, 40, Vincennes, was arrested by city police Tuesday on a warrant for possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and an out of county warrant. He was released on $4,000 bond.
