WASHINGTON — COUNTY REPORT
5:37 p.m. - A caller advised of an airplane with black smoke was coming down north of Washington. There was no airplane at the Daviess County Airport but the area was searched. Nothing was found.
8:30 a.m. - A personal injury accident was reported on U.S. 50, just west of Montgomery. One person was taken to Daviess Community Hospital and AirEvac was contacted. An accident report is being completed.
6:59 a.m. - A caller reported an accident with possible injuries on CR 900E. An airbag was deployed, but no injuries were reported. An accident report was completed.
8:27 p.m. - Kelsey Lee, reported a car vs. deer accident where the vehicle was flipped on CR 1600N. An accident report was completed and there were no injuries.
1:55 p.m. - The manager of Auto Zone, 1812 E. Nat’l Hwy., requested an officer regarding an employee who had admitted to taking money and merchandise from the business over a period of time. Casey Raney, 24, will be long-formed and was asked to leave the property.
12:15 p.m. - Eddie Cornelius reported a trash lab near 2400 Sunrise Dr. and the railroad tracks. An officer collected it for disposal.
8:41 a.m. – An employee of Par-T-Pac West, 1011 W. Walnut St., advised someone had pried on the back door, but entry was not gained. An officer offered extra patrol.
9:23 p.m. - Tyler Elsey, 121 Eastside Park Rd., reported his neighbor saw a subject take a flat-screen TV from his garage and take off in a green low-rider Chevrolet S-10 pickup. Two 12-packs of pop also were missing from the garage. A description and direction of travel were given, and the truck was located. Two adult males and a juvenile male were arrested for that incident and another.
Matthew Dane Twitty, 28, Washington, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Wednesday on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence. He was being held without bond at the Daviess County Security Center.
John W. Hill, 50, Loogootee, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Wednesday on a warrant for theft. He was released on $2,500 bond.
Jacob William Cooper, 18, Washington, was arrested by city police Thursday for two counts of burglary, two counts of possession of stolen property, a count of possession of marijuana, a count of possession of paraphernalia and two counts of criminal trespassing. He was being held without bond.
Nicholas Logan Romans, 18, Washington, was arrested by city police Thursday for two counts of conspiracy to commit burglary, two counts of possession of stolen property, two counts of conspiracy of commit criminal trespassing and a count of possession of marijuana. He was being held on $37,000 bond.
