CITY REPORT

Thursday

12:20 p.m. – Rachel Curry advised she lost her wallet Wednesday and on Thursday an employee of Family Dollar called to report finding it in the store. Curry stated that $100 was missing when the wallet was returned, and she wanted to press charges against the employee who found the wallet. An officer explained charges can’t be filed because there’s no proof the employee took any money from the wallet. Curry stated she would take the matter into her own hands.

11:33 a.m. – Florencio Becerra advised that a white male, 24-25 years old, about 160 lbs., with brown hair came into his restaurant requesting money for gas. The same male gave Beccerra’s brother the same story. He said the male was driving a gray, 1980’s passenger car.

11:21 a.m. – A caller reported an RV had been parked on NE First Street near the intersection with E. Maple Street for a year, making it difficult to see oncoming traffic on NE First Street from E. Maple Street

9:03 a.m. – Ricky Ahlert, 712 Lincoln St., reported a blue boys bicycle was taken from her yard, and her neighbor witnessed it. She gave a description of the suspect.

COUNTY REPORT

Wednesday

8:07 p.m. — A caller reported a bucket was on fire on Troy Road. The caller said it could be a meth lab because the bucket started foaming when knocked over. The fire was out when deputies arrived. It was not known if it was a meth lab.

5:55 p.m. — A male requested to speak with a deputy after an altercation at the Odon Dollar Store. A statement was taken.

8:58 a.m. — A caller at 1211W 300S reported the theft of four batteries. A report was made.

ARRESTS

Ayron Miller, 36, Vincennes, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Wednesday on a warrant for theft and petitions to revoke suspended sentences for strangulation and attempted battery by means of a deadly weapon. He was being held at the Daviess County Security Center on $102,500 bond.

Charles Buescher, 52, Edwardsport, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Wednesday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was being held on $2,000 bond.

Kevin Jones, 33, Washington, was arrested by city police Wednesday for disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing. He was released on $4,000 bond.
