Park Board meets Wednesday

WASHINGTON — The Washington Park and Recreation Board will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Council Chambers, 200 Harned Ave. All interested citizens and patrons of any of the three parks, Eastside, Longfellow and South Park, are welcome to attend. Anyone requesting use of the soccer and softball fields or tennis courts this coming season MUST attend this meeting.

Redevelopment Comm. to meet

The Washington Redevelopment Commission will hold a special meeting at 5 p.m. Thursday in Council Chambers, 200 Harned Ave. Items on the agenda: discussion/adoption of economic development and allocation areas.

WHS yearbook orders

Any 2012 senior who ordered a Washington High School yearbook may pick it up in the yearbook room between 11:15 a.m. and noon Monday through Friday. If other arrangements need to be made, call 254-3860 Ext. 360. There are still yearbooks available for purchase. Cost is $50.

Women’s Circle grants available

The Daviess County Community Foundation Women’s Giving Circle is pleased to announce their grant cycle starting Feb. 8. These grants are intended to provide funds for innovative, new and on-going projects of nonprofit organizations who serve women and girls in Daviess County.

Application deadline is March 4.
