WASHINGTON — Washington utilities drive-thru at Eastside Park will be closed Wednesday and Thursday for repairs. Utility payments can still be made at the Utility Office, Eastside Park, drop box, or at City Hall, 101 N.E. Third St., utility office on the third floor or drop box on the first floor.

Cub Scouts to hold fundraiser

North Daviess Cub Scout Pack 447 is holding a Little Caesar’s fund raiser to raise money for a trip to King’s Island this summer.

The group will be selling Little Caesar pizza kits, cookie dough and pie kits until March 22. Items range in price from $12 to $19 and contain the ingredients needed.

DCCF grants available

The Daviess County Community Foundation Youth Council is pleased to announce their grant cycle starting Feb. 8. These grants are intended to provide funds for innovative, new and on-going projects of nonprofit organizations who serve the youth of Daviess County.

The Daviess County Community Foundation Women’s Giving Circle is pleased to announce their grant cycle starting Feb. 8. These grants are intended to provide funds for innovative, new and on-going projects of nonprofit organizations who serve women and girls in Daviess County.

Application deadline for both grants is March 4.

Applications must be completed and submitted online through our new grant management system. WC preschool registration

Washington Catholic Preschool will hold open registration for fall preschool on Feb. 27 and 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Little Learners program is for children who will turn 3 by Aug. 1. Class times available are from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, the cost is $60 a month. The kindergarten readiness program is for children who will turn 4 by Aug. 1. The available class times are from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a cost of $75 a month.

Contact WC Preschool at 254-6739 with any questions or concerns. Plan on signing up on Feb. 27 for 4-5 year old classes or Feb. 28 for 3-4 year old classes.

There is a $15 registration fee that holds your child’s spot for the fall.
