WASHINGTON — CITY REPORT

Tuesday

2:12 p.m. - An employee of Walmart, 100 Bypass 50 Plaza, said a juvenile was shoplifting game consoles and left in a waiting vehicle.

The employee got the license plate of the vehicle and the shoplifter had a name on the back of his sweatshirt. An investigation is ongoing.

Monday

3:16 p.m. - Melissa Craig said her boyfriend's television was stolen from the back of his vehicle. The vehicle was parked at Shepherd Hills. A suspect was named.

COUNTY REPORT

Monday

9:51 p.m. - A male caller said he flipped a vehicle in Elnora near the cheese factory. A fire started on the vehicle. Elnora fire was paged and an accident report was being completed.

6:24 p.m. - Several callers advised of a brown sedan drove off of I-69 near mile marker 69. The vehicle was towed.

4:16 p.m. - An employee of White River Co-op in Plainville reported a drive-off worth $105.02. A dark gray or silver pickup was heading north on SR 57.

8:33 a.m. - A caller said an INDOT highway truck had turned over on SR 257.

An Indiana State Police trooper was assigned and the road cleared.

7:51 a.m. - A caller reported a vehicle has hit both sides of the westbound U.S. 50 bridge. A conservation officer said one person was out of the vehicle and was unhurt.

7:47 a.m. - A caller reported a vehicle in the southbound median on I-69 was abandoned.

ARRESTS

Bethaney Nicole Deno, 18, Washington, was arrested by city police Tuesday for residential entry, two counts of battery and resisting law enforcement.

He was being held at the Daviess County Security Centeron $8,500 bond.

Tyler Nelson Hankinson, 21, Washington, was arrested by city police Monday on a failure to appear warrant for battery resulting in bodily injury, intimidation and two counts of battery. He was released on $2,000 bond.

Benjamin Cole Harner, 27, Washington, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff¹s deputies Monday for criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, battery and interfering with the reporting of a crime.

He was being held on $12,000 bond.
