WASHINGTON — COUNTY REPORT

Sunday

9:26 a.m. - A caller advised that a red Dodge Stratus had hydroplaned and is off in the median on I-69 near mile marker 57. The driver was not injured but the vehicle was stuck.

2:46 p.m. - A caller on east 350 North in Loogootee adivsed a black Honda Civic had just hit a mailbox and kept going.  The driver of the vehicle was later located and has one week to replace the mailbox or charges will be filed.

Saturday

6:31 a.m. - A caller advised she and her boyfriend had flipped their Chevy Cavalier at 300 w. 150 s. The occupants of the car were identified as Alissa Hodges and Dennis Ennis.

1:22 p.m. - A caller advised that a black truck went through the glass at the Chuckles on SR 57 N.

CITY REPORT

  Multiple complaints were made Saturday and Sunday concerning a phone call from someone claiming to be Publisher’s Clearing House. Complaintants were told they had won the Publisher’s Clearing House sweepstakes and they would need to go to Walgreens and get a green dot card loaded with $1,500. Once the $1,500 was received, the prize money would be sent.

Monday

11:48 a.m. - A postal worker reported that a mail carrier was on the ground at 1703 Memorial Ave. The mail carrier, Dale Wiscaver, had been jumped on by a large dog that had been dragging its chain.  Wiscaver was uninjured in the incident and authorities tried to locate the dog.



Sunday

3:38 p.m. - An employee of Walmart notified officers there was  a shoplifter in custody at the store.

ARRESTS

Jason Beckett, 39, Loogootee, was arrested Friday by Washington police for failure to appear for conversion. He was released on $2,000 bond.

Donovon Lough, 32, Odon, was arrested Friday by Washington police on two counts of criminal mischief and battery. He was released on $2,500 bond.



Augustin Santos, 48, Washington, was arrested Friday by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department for failure to appear for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was released on $5,000 bond.

Michael Witt, 21, Oaktown, was arrested Friday by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department for failure to appear for conversion. Bond was set at $2,000.

Andrew Lange, 32, Somerset, Ky., was arrested Saturday by Washington police on two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person. Bond was set at $4,000.

Michael Kevin Hyde, 48, Washington, was arrested Sunday by Washington police on two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated .15 or higher and operating a vehicle while endangering a person. Bond was set at $4,000.

Nichole R. Wells, 32, Washington, was arrested Sunday by Washington police for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Bond was set at $2,000.

Brittany Ramsay, 23, Washington, was arrested Sunday by Washington police for operating a vehicle having never been licensed. Bond was set at $2,000.

James Baker, 40, Washington, was arrested Sunday by Washington police on three counts of driving while suspended with a prior, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphenalia. He was released on $6,000 bond.

Adam D. Hill, 25, Washington, was arrested Sunday by Washington police for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Bond was set at $2,000.

Angela Dawn Mandabach, 26, Loogootee, was arrested Sunday by Indiana State Police for failure to appear for theft. She was released on $2,500 bond.

Kenneth William Morrow, 33, Washington, was arrested Monday by Washington Police on two counts of operator never licensed and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Bond was set at $4,000.
