WASHINGTON —

 The Daviess County Republican Party November breakfast meeting will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Washington Family Restaurant. The meeting will conclude by 10 a.m. Breakfast is Dutch treat.

Red Cross blood drive days

The Daviess County Chapter of the American Red Cross is sponsoring the following blood drives in November.

They include:

Friday — Crane Federal Credit Union, 1 West Gate Drive, Odon, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Nov. 24 — Odon United Methodist Church, Hwy. 58 East, Odon, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Nov. 29 — Barr-Reeve High School, 627 N. Third St., Montgomery, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (this drive in not open to the public)

Blood donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health, and cannot have given blood in the past 56 days.

The Red Cross is especially low on Type O+ and O-, but all types are desperately needed.

Loogootee school board to meet

Loogootee Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees will meet in executive session at 9 a.m. Saturday to discuss personnel issues.

Benefit softball tourney set

There will be a co-ed softball tourney in Bicknell on Saturday for Jordan Wininger.

Jordan has Hunter Syndrome and makes weekly infusion trips to Bloomington Hospital.

Proceeds will go to help the family with travel expenses.
