---- — The Daviess County Amateur Radio Club had its regular monthly meeting on July 8 at the American Red Cross building in Washington with 15 members present. President Todd Riker called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. The treasurer’s report and minutes of the June meeting were approved and new member Al Kirsch was welcomed into the club.

Items on the agenda included a recap of June 22 Field Day; the club DX contest which runs through the month of July; and upcoming events, including a Department of Homeland Security Drill on July 27. A repeater subcommittee was formed. The meeting was adjourned at 8 p.m. with some members enjoying dinner at a local restaurant afterwards. The next regular meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 8 in the American Red Cross building in Washington. Guests are always welcome. For more information, visit www.daviesscountyarc.org.
