---- — Car Show Sunday

On Sunday Odon Church of the Nazarene on Hwy 58 E is hosting a car show to wrap up its VBS program, “Custom Garage.” Come out with your classic car at 11:30 a.m. to share in the free food, music, and prizes. Judging will be at 1 p.m. No entry fee.

Memorial Service for Potter

There will be a Memory Service in honor of Helen Potter on July 28 at Westminster Presbyterian Church during the 10 a.m. service Sunday. Helen was a lifetime member of Westminster who claimed her heavenly reward on June 24. A dinner with her family and friends will be held immediately following the service. All attending are asked to bring a dish to share. Meat will be provided.

Hope House open Saturday

Hope House, 704 W. Van Trees St., will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday to give free food and clothing to anyone in need. Hope House is a ministry of Church on the Way.

Stafford and Horrell reunion Sunday

The descendants of James Morton Stafford and Flora Lenora Horrell will meet Sunday at the Washington Conservation Club located on W CR 150S across from the old Jefferson School. Starting at 12:30 p.m. is a pitch-in lunch, prepare your favorite recipe and share with others. The plan is to honor Lena Nova (Stafford) Martin. She was the last of the original 14 children born to the Staffords. Bring your old photos, stories and other heirlooms for show and tell.
