Saturday's Police Report

CITY REPORT

Friday

11:24 a.m. - A woman reported someone cut the two front tires on her truck parked at 1607 McCormick Ave.

11:30 a.m. - Police received a report from an employee at Chuckles at 201 N.E. 5th St. that someone had just pumped $30 in gas and drove off without paying.

COUNTY REPORT

Thursday

4:29 p.m. - An employee at Chuckles in Odon reported a maroon van had driven off without paying for $16.01 in gas.

11:23 p.m. - A motorist reported a cow in the road at 100S 1100E Cannelburg. Deputies contacted the owner of the cow who rounded it up.

COUNTY ACCIDENTS

Thursday

2:44 p.m. - The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department was called to a semi-rollover accident at the intersection of CR 650E and CR 550N. Deputies report Matthew D. Knepp, 29, of Loogootee was attempting to turn off of 650E when the trailer went into a soft ditch and rolled over pulling the 2001 International tractor with it. No one was injured and the truck sustained between $1,000 and $2,500 damage.

9:55 a.m. - Daviess County Sheriff’s Department was called to CR 1100E near CR 1475N. Deputies report Stephen R. Swartzentruber, 50, of Odon was driving south on CR 1100E when he lost control of his truck on the wet roadway. The vehicle went into a ditch and knocked off a telephone pedestal then came out of the ditch and rolled over. No one was injured and the 2003 Ford F250 sustained between $1,000 and $2,500 in damage.

ARRESTS

Lucas Cunningham, 21, Washington was arrested by Indiana State Police on a petition to revoke on a conviction for marijuana possession in Knox County. He is being held in the Daviess County Jail without bond.

Michael Norrington,19, Washington was arrested by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department on a charge of assisting a criminal and theft. He is free on $2,500 bond.
