CITY REPORT

Monday

7:09 a.m. - Randall Dexter, 511 Maxwell Ave., reported a scooter was missing.

Sunday

11:05 a.m. - An employee of Chuckle’s, 201 N.E. Fifth St., reported a drive-off worth $7.40 in gas. The driver returned 15 minutes later to pay for the gas.

1:27 a.m. - Jamie Campbell reported a hit-and-run accident on Northwest Third and Main streets. The vehicle was found later with a flat tire on Fifth Street. The driver was taken into custody.

Saturday

7:53 p.m. - An employee of Chuckle’s, 201 N.E. Fifth St., reported a drive-off worth $56.57 in gas.

6:37 p.m. - Sgt. Derrick Devine found a sinkhole on Northeast Second Street between John and George streets. City wastewater and stormwater employees were called and blocked off the area.

10:05 a.m. - An employee of Chuckle’s, 201 N.E. Fifth St., reported a drive-off worth $35 by a driver in a gray Oldsmobile.

Friday

11:45 p.m. - Moriah Diamond, 507 Florence St., reported medication was stolen.

5:38 p.m. - Denise Yancey, 804 E. Main St., Apt. 3, reported a break-in. Items were reported missing.

5:12 p.m. - Jacob Hols, 312 S.E. Seventh St., reported a stolen scooter.

4:54 p.m. - An employee of Hometown IGA, 900 W. Nat’l Hwy., reported a shoplifter. The shoplifter was taken into custody on an unrelated warrant.

3:04 p.m. - Don Barnes, 5 W. Nat’l Hwy., reported the theft of his vehicle. The car was found five hours later in an alley near Meridian Street.

COUNTY REPORT

Sunday

8:39 p.m. - A caller reported a red and white motorcycle was speeding on CR 100W. The motorcycle was found in a minor accident and a rider was taken home.

7:47 p.m. - A caller said two bales of hay were lost in front of 4949S 800 E. County Highway was contacted.

4:57 p.m. - A caller said a vehicle was stuck in a ditch on U.S. 50 near Daviess County Metal. The vehicle was pulled out and there was no damage or injuries.
