Tuesday's police report



8:59 a.m. - Police received a report of a vehicle striking a utility pole at Northwest Third and West Van Trees streets. No one was injured in the accident.

9:59 a.m. - Officers were called to a two vehicle accident at 108 E. Nat’l Hwy. No injuries were reported.

2:42 p.m. - A woman at 907 Center St. reported someone stole her children’s birth certificates and Medicaid cards from her car.


11:29 p.m. - Police were called to a reported break-in at 900 S. Meridian St. Officers said someone broke out a window on a ground floor apartment, but the resident said nothing was taken.

4:29 p.m. - Officers were called to 205 Mill St. to investigate a two vehicle accident. No injuries were reported.

5:22 p.m. - Power outages were reported on the east side of Washington. Officers logged 32 calls. Power was restored at 5:50 p.m.

8:21 p.m. - Police received a report of a fire at 305 N.W.16th St. The fire department reported it was a brush fire and they had it out 20 minutes later.

9:38 p.m. - Officers were called to a three vehicle accident at 404 E. Main St. No one was injured.

2:57 p.m. - A man reported someone stole a set of golf clubs from his home at 212 N.W. Second St.


11:11 a.m. - A resident at 1215 McCormick Ave. reported that when they got into their car they found the ignition switch was broken and the wiring had been torn out from under the dash.

11:19 a.m. - A man reported someone had taken his mother’s purse and keys from a residence at 1509 Jackson St.

12:18 p.m. - Police were called to a three vehicle accident at East National Highway and Southeast Third Street. No injuries were reported.

5:11 a.m. - A woman at 315 Clark Road reported someone got into her locker at work at Perdue and stole a change purse and her wallet containing $400.
