Thursday

11:10 a.m. - A female caller said cows were out in the backyard of 1512 Wykoff Lane. The cattle were rounded up.

Wednesday

7:15 p.m. - Windy Durst said someone had broke into 416S SR 57 and used the former oil change business to perform oil changes. Other items were reported missing.

3:35 p.m. - Jenny McWilliams reported a Washington school bus hit her vehicle while it was parked on E. Hefron Street. Information was taken from the caller and the bus driver for a minor accident report.

3:20 p.m. - Tracy Gross, 1303 Maxwell Ave., said her house was broken into. An iPod was reported stolen.

Wednesday

6:30 p.m. - A caller at Chuckle’s, 1830S SR 57, reported a drive-off worth $40.01 in gas by a black Ford Explorer.

5 p.m. - A caller reported an accident without injuries on Old U.S. 50 and CR 150W. An accident report is being completed.

12:04 p.m. - A caller advised of an accident on CRs 150W and 150S. No injuries were found and an accident report is being completed.

11:04 a.m. - An employee of Chuckle’s in Odon reported a drive-off worth $30 in gas. No description of the suspected vehicle was available.

COUNTY ACCIDENTS

Wednesday

5 p.m. - Danielle L. Barber, 19, 1432 Brett Cabel Road, was driving a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am south on CR 150W when she failed to yield to oncoming traffic and pulled into the path of a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Cherie R. Pressley, 26, Loogootee, who was heading west on W. National Hwy. There were no injuries and damage was estimated between $10,000 and $25,000.

12:07 p.m. - Kevin L. Gray, 48, 510 N.E. Third St., was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu north on CR 150S when a deer crossed his path. The car swerved off the road, hit an embankment and overturned. Gray and a passenger, James G. Sisco, 3390S 1200E, had minor neck pain and were taken to Daviess Community Hospital. Damage was estimated between $10,000 and $25,000.

Sunday

5:11 p.m. - David A. Speakman, 14, Jasper, was attempting to pull a boat trailer with a 1995 Ford F-150 truck at the south boat ramp at Dogwood Lake. The truck went into neutral instead of drive and rolled backwards into the lake. There were no injuries and damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.

Aug. 30

5:06 p.m. - Timothy A. Petry, 59, Loogootee, was heading west of U.S. 50 when he was slowing down for vehicles ahead of him when his 1991 Chevrolet utility vehicle was struck from behind by a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Nicole D. Hall, 22, Loogootee. Two passengers, Logan T. Smith, 714 N.E. Sixth St.. and Dallyn T. Smith, Loogootee, had minor injuries in the accident. Damage was estimated between $10,000 and $25,000.

7:02 a.m. - Mervin D. Kemp, 32, Odon, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche south on CR 700E and hit a guard rail. There were no injuries and damage was estimated between $5,000 and $10,000.

ARRESTS

Troy Allen Lowe, 30, Petersburg, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Wednesday on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence for battery by means of a deadly weapon. He is being held at the Daviess County Security Center on $100,000 bond.

Derek Cox, 19, Washington, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Thursday for theft of metal. He was being held on $2,500 bond.

Michael James Morgan, 18, Washington, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Thursday for theft of metal. He was being held on $2,500 bond.
