The Tri-State Weather Workshop will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 19, at the Vincennes University Technology Building.

Knepp family reunion on Sunday

The Sam Knepp family reunion will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Pleasantview gym, CR 650E and 200N, Montgomery.

Civil War roundtable meeting

The topic for the Civil War Roundtable of Daviess County will be the battles for Memphis, Tenn. Local attorney Mary Goss will give the southern view of the battles and civilian life under the command of U.S. Grant. Monty Critchlow will discuss Nathan Bedford Forest’s CSA raids. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Daviess County Museum, 212 Main St., Washington.

North Daviess board meeting

North Daviess Community Schools Board of Trustees will meet in executive session at 6 p.m. Monday to discuss collective bargaining. The open session will be at 7 p.m.

Bible study in Odon

Women’s Community Bible Study will meet at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 18 at the Odon Library. The eight-week classes will begin Sept. 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the library. For more information, call Mary Woodruff at 687-7617.

Friends of library to meet

Friends of the Library will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the meeting room at the Washington Carnegie Public Library, 300 W. Main St. Members and public invited.

North Daviess Class of 2008 to hold reunion

The North Daviess High School Class of 2008 will hold a reunion Oct. 5 at West Boggs Park, Sassafras Shelter. Hamburger, hot dogs, buns and water will be provided. Free screenings at DCH

Daviess Community Hospital will offer free screenings from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday in the hospital lobby. Screenings include fall risk assessments, blood pressure screening, body mass index and glucose screenings (fasting for eight hours prior to this screening gives best results).
