Thursday

2:40 p.m. - A female caller said an old tree had fallen near Old U.S. 50W. Daviess County was contacted.

1:41 p.m. - A mail carrier said a vicious dog was loose near Vincennes Avenue. Animal Control was contacted.

9:58 a.m. - Mike Devine, 700S Meridian St., said someone stole the spare tire from underneath his vehicle the night before. Extra patrol was requested.

Wednesday

6:17 p.m. - Ron Roy, 1000 S. Meridian St., Apt. 16, reported the theft of coins and medication.

5:18 p.m. - Tim Burris reported a transformer blown near Field Street and Oak Grove Road. A line crew was called and power was restored.

COUNTY REPORT

Wednesday

9:06 p.m. - An accident was reported on E. Main and N. East streets in Odon. An accident report is being completed.

5:24 p.m. - A caller reported a home broken into at 4665N 1200E. The home had been vandalized and the residents were looking to see if anything was taken.

3:17 p.m. - A caller reported an accident on Old U.S. 50, just east of CR 650E. One person was taken to Daviess Community Hospital with minor injuries. An accident report is being completed.

8:19 a.m. - A caller reported a silver Dodge vehicle sitting near 1213S 300W. A deputy found the vehicle had been reported stolen. Contact was made with the owner of the vehicle and the insurance company.

4:33 a.m. - Several callers reported a male laying on SR 58 near traffic. The male was taken home.

COUNTY ACCIDENTS

Wednesday

9:36 p.m. - Adam L. Belcher, 42, 117E 100S, was in a 1999 Ford Expedition heading north on Horrall Road when a deer headed on the road. The SUV veered left and hit a tree. There were no injuries and damage was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.

Tuesday

3:49 a.m. - Nicholas W. Raber, 40, 11382E 1200N, was driving a 1995 Ford F-350 south on CR 700E heading to the CR 1000N intersection when the truck’s brakes locked up and could not stop. The truck landed on the south end of CR 1000N. Raber had minor shoulder pain and was transported to Daviess Community Hospital by personal vehicle. Damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,5000.

ARRESTS

Larry Hayes, 69, Odon, was arrested by Odon police Wednesday on a failure to appear warrant for check deception. He was being held at the Daviess County Security Center on $2,000 bond.

Danny Ray Christenberry, 25, Washington, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Wednesday for resisting law enforcement, criminal recklessness and a petitions to revoke suspended sentences for conspiracy to commit forgery and check deception. He was being held on $55,000 bond.

James Allen Booher, 26, Washington, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Thursday on a warrant for burglary and theft. He was being held on $7,500 bond.

Steven Ryan Booher, 18, Washington, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Thursday for dealing in marijuana and possession of marijuana over 30 grams. He was being held on $5,000 bond.

Andrew Carter, 27, Washington, was arrested by city police on Thursday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person. He was released on $4,000 bond.

Jason Hensley, 22, Washington, was arrested by city police Thursday on a warrant for theft. He was being held on $2,500 bond.
