WASHINGTON — COUNTY REPORT

Sunday

6:38 p.m. - An accident involving a red Chevy HHR was reported on SR 57N near the Goose Pond. The vehicle was headed to Daviess County. The vehicle then turned west onto SR 358 and headed into Knox County.

6:52 a.m. - A personal injury accident was reported near SR 57 and Oakwood Trailer Park.

Saturday

7:58 p.m. - A caller at 3481 US 50W reported a limb in the roadway.

Friday

4:52 p.m. - A caller at 645 E. Main Street, Elnora, reported that several items were missing from her residence including a picnic table and chairs, fire pit, and trash barrel. The caller said she thought maybe the items were taken because they could be sold for scrap metal.

1:49 p.m. - A caller on SR 58E  near Odon reported a juvenile was climbing into his neighbor’s garage through a window. The juvenile then started throwing items out of the garage. The juvenile was located just down the road from the scene.

12:03 p.m. - The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department requested assistance from the Washington City Police and the Pike County Sheriff’s Department.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department was in pursuit of a silver passenger car. The vehicle was stopped at CR 400S and SR 257.

9:37 a.m. - A caller at the US 50 bypass reported an accident just west of Walmart. A state report was filed and the vehicle was towed.

8:35 a.m. - A caller at 4334 SR 57N reported that someone had hit a sign at Sugarland Memory Gardens.

8:28 p.m. - An employee of Dollar General, 900W Nat¹l Hwy., reported a female shoplifter.

Saturday

7:55 p.m. - Marco Perez Luna, 710 Pine Court, reported that someone broke into his apartment and had slashed his couch and scattered clothes everywhere.

3:54 p.m. - An employee of Jimbo’s Pizza and Wings, 104 Cherry Tree Plaza, reported that someone had set a car battery on fire behind the business. The caller thought that a former employee who had been terminated recently may be responsible.

11:24 a.m. - An employee of KFC, 1444E Nat’l Hwy., reported that a fake $20 had been received at the store.

7:26 a.m. - A caller at 111 SR 57S reported that the front window of Chapman’s Glass was broken.

Friday

11:40 a.m. - An employee of Harner Trucking, 2404 Cosby Road reported that between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. an employee saw someone take an AM/FM radio out of one of the company trucks.

ARRESTS

Alicia Dawn Rasche, 34, Washington, was arrested Saturday by Washington police for battery. Bond was set at $2,000.

Noel Rodriguez Garduno, 23, Washington, was arrested Saturday by Washington police on three counts of domestic battery, criminal mischief, and possession of marijuana. He was released on $6,000 bond.

Shonda Marie Scheiber, 38, Washington, was arrested Saturday by Washington police on a warrant out of Huntington County and new counts of possession of a syringe. No bond was set.

Timothy Eric Walker, 37, Washington, was arrested Saturday by Indiana State Police for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. No bond was set.

William Scott Flener, 23, Petersburg, was arrested Sunday by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department on three counts of leaving the scene of an accident.

Bond was set at $6,000.

Brittny Morgan Sponn, 23, Washington, was arrested Sunday by Washington police on two counts of possession of methamphetamine and attempted theft.

Bond was set at $5,000.
