WASHINGTON — A reward is being offered for information in a robbery at Hillside Manor nursing home on Wednesday.
According to a press release from the Washington Police Department, an employee of the nursing home, 1109 E. Nat’l Hwy, called Washington police at around 7:05 a.m. to report the robbery.
The employee said undisclosed items were taken from administrator Julie Helm Chapman’s office.
Officers quickly deduced that entry was gained through a window on the north side of Helm Chapman’s office and the robber exited the building in the same way during the night hours.
Immediately, detectives started calling local banks to check if anyone had made large deposits and started collecting security footage from nearby gas stations.
Helm Chapman is offering a reward of $1,000 for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators involved.
