11:48 a.m. - Ernie Taylor, 106 S.E. Fourth St., reported the theft of items from his truck the night before. Items taken included CDs and two knives.
7:30 a.m. - A male caller said a male was slumped over the wheel of his car while parked at 303 S.E. 21st St. Officers found the male asleep.
9:37 p.m. - An employee of Chuckle’s, 201 N.E. Fifth St., said two females were soliciting customers outside the convenience store. The females were asked to leave.
5:46 p.m. - An employee of Daviess Community Hospital, 1314 E. Walnut St., said a patient was in the ER had a scooter accident. An accident report was made.
4:26 p.m. - An employee of Chuckle’s, 1830S SR 57, reported a drive-off worth $98.57 in gas.
5:28 p.m. - A Washington police officer was in pursuit of an ATV on CR 250W and requested assistance. Deputies were unavailable due to other calls, but the ATV was later found abandoned.
Leroy Swartzentruber, 34, Montgomery, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Thursday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a BAC of .08 to .14. He was being held at the Daviess County Security Center on $2,000 bond.
Dennis Stepanek, 65, Cannelburg, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Thursday for domestic battery. He was being held on $2,000 bond.
Sylvan Martin, 23, Odon, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Thursday on a failure to appear warrant and a petition to revoke a suspended sentence. He was being held on $12,000 bond.
Timothy Walker, 37, Washington, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Thursday on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence. He was being held on $100,000 bond.
Ericha McGiffen, 36, Bicknell, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Thursday on a failure to appear warrant. She was released on $2,000 bond.
