Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the library: Book Discussion-The Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen. Book discussions will repeat Thursday Sept. 26 at 2 p.m.

Park board to meet Wednesday

Washington Park and Recreation Board will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Council Chambers, 200 Harned Ave. All interested citizens and patrons of any of the three parks, Eastside, Longfellow and South Park, are welcome to attend.

POW/MIA ceremonies scheduled

The U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps will host the annual Joint Services Prisoner of War/Missing in Action Recognition Cemetery at 11 a.m. Thursday. The ceremony will be held at the Club Lakeview.

Washington American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars will hold a POW/MIA ceremony at 11 a.m. Sept. 21 at the gazebo on Main Street.

Monday — Daviess Community Hospital Rehab presentation by Stacie, 9:30 a.m.; Daviess Community Home Health bingo, 10 a.m.; arm chair exercise, 1 p.m..

Tuesday — Movie and snack, 9:30 a.m.

Wednesday — Eastgate Manor biscuits and gravy, 8:30 a.m.; bingo, 10 a.m.

Thursday — Bible study, 10 a.m.; Crochet Club, 1 p.m.

Friday — Good Samaritan Home Health bingo, 10 a.m.; arm chair exercise, 1 p.m.

Medicare program in October

Mark your calendar for Oct. 1, 10 a.m. “Medicare-What You Need To Know.” Lorealee Moore from the State SHIP office will let you know what choices you have on the Medicare program and how these choices impact your finances. Remember open enrollment time is coming.
