Monday

4:07 p.m. - An employee at Chuckles at 201 NE 5th St. stopped a patrolman and reported they had just had a white suv drive off without paying for $40.13 in gas.

9:26 p.m. - An alarm company contacted city police saying several intrusion alarms were sounding at Orschein’s Farm and Home Center at 1 Cherry Tree Plaza. When police responded they found a dog was running loose inside the building setting off the alarms. The dog was secured and later removed.

COUNTY REPORT

Monday

8:35 a.m. - An accident was reported on CR 1400N. A state report will be filed but no other details were currently available.

ARRESTS

Brandi Lottes, 27, Washington, was arrested Monday by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant for auto theft and criminal mischief. She was released on $2,500 bond.

Eliel Mounteer, 35, Lucedale, Miss., was arrested Monday by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department for possession of a handgun without a license. Bond was set at $2,500.

Oscar Ruano, 30, Washington, was arrested Monday by Washington police for operator never licensed. Bond was set at $2,000.

Stevee Schupp, 22, Vincennes, was arrested Monday by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant for two counts of attempted possession of a controlled substance.
