Vikings splitat Shoals

SHOALS — The fifth and sixth grade Barr-Reeve boys basketball teams split two games with Shoals Saturday afternoon. In the first game, the fifth grade lost 33-29, after being outscored 9-3 in the fourth quarter. William Craig, Tyson Knepp and Hagen Knepp led the Vikings with six points each. Aaron Wagler had five points, Devin Graber had four points and Thomas Kidwell added two points.

The sixth grade team won 43-21 after jumping out to a 16-5 lead after the first quarter. Caleb Graber scored 13 points and Keegan O’Neil had 12 points. Jacob Wagler scored eight points and Jeremiah Graber, Connor Heller, Mitchell Kavanaugh, Trevor Knepp and Kaden Boyd scored two points a piece.

Washington bowling at Jasper

JASPER — The Washington boys/co-ed bowing team earned first place by defeating Forest Park 14-6 with 1,962 points Monday at the Eastown Recreation Center in Jasper. The girls team finished in fourth place with 731 points after losing to Southridge 20-0.
