WASHINGTON — CITY REPORT
2:49 p.m. -An employee of Walmart, 100 Bypass 50 Plaza, reported a female shoplifter.
7:30 p.m. -Laura Vest, 1011 E. Nat’l Hwy., said a gallon-sized jar of change was missing from her vehicle. A suspect was named who later denied the charges.
4:22 p.m. - Walmart reported they had a shoplifter detained in the office. Carolyn Hudson will be long-formed for theft.
6:26 p.m. -While assisting city officers, deputies found a stolen 1994 Ford Mustang, belonging to James Dupont in the old bed. The car was burned through and a license plate and windshield were melted. The car was towed and an investigation is ongoing.
7:36 a.m. -Samantha Killough, 23, 107 Mill St., was driving at 1997 Ford Mustang south on SR 57 near CR 600S when she slid on a curve, overcorrected and hit a guardrail on the north-bound side of the road. No injuries were reported and damage was estimated between $5,000 and $10,000.
3:33 p.m. -Robert J. Smith, 68, 41W 150S, was driving his 2003 Chevrolet Silverado truck with a trailer south on I-69 near Odon when a 2002 Toyota Camry driven by Brock A. Koressel, 22, Evansville, attempted to pass him. Koressel then hit a slick spot in the road and hit Smith’s truck.
The two swerved and hit the truck again. The truck then ended up in the median. No injuries were reported and damage was estimated between $10,000 and $25,000.
Andrew K. Greenwell, 27, Washington, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Friday on a writ of attachment. He was released from the Daviess County Security Center on $2,000 bond.
Joel Fleetwood, 19, Washington, was arrested by city police Friday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a controlled substance. He was released from the security center on $2,000 bond.
Charles Davis, 22, Washington, was arrested by city police Sunday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated over .015 percent BAC and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. He was being held without bond.
