WASHINGTON — CITY REPORT

Tuesday

5:05 p.m. - A caller on CR 250N reported a power outage. Callers on CR 450E and Gardenia Lane also reported outages. By 6:13 p.m., all power was restored.

CITY ACCIDENT

Tuesday

4:41 p.m. - Gabraile E. Jewel, 20, Vincennes, was driving a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix south on Maysville Road when she was struck by a 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser, driven by Cassie M. Neidige, 34, 103 Jamestown Square, Apg. 5, who was heading east on Oak Street. No injuries were reported and damage was estimated between $10,000 and $25,000.

COUNTY REPORT

Wednesday

2:15 a.m. - A caller reported an accident on SR 257 and Donaldson Road

involving a white truck. There was no damage.

12:44 a.m. - A caller reported the theft of tools on CR 400N.

Tuesday

9:30 p.m. - A downed power line was reported on CR 700E. REMC was called.

9:25 p.m. - An accident was reported on SR 57 near Plainville. A car was in a ditch, but no injuries were reported. The car was put back on the road.

9:19 p.m. - A caller on S. Glendale Road reported her son was in a minor accident near her home and the car was being towed home. An accident report was made.

6:10 p.m. - A caller reported downed power lines and a blown transformer on CR 1000N. REMC was called.

5:50 p.m. - A caller said a power line was down in Odon. Duke Energy was called and had to shut a road down to repair the line.

5:07 p.m. - An employee of the Plainville Co-op reported a drive-off worth

$30.01 by an older man in a white truck with a white camper shell. The employee thought there might have been a mixup at the pump.

2:02 p.m. - A caller at 5557N SR 57 reported the theft of a bench swing and an old school bell.

12:45 p.m. -  A caller said a truck lost a gooseneck trailer on U.S. 50 E.

and blocked west-bound traffic. The truck was off the road and repairs were made.

8:39 a.m. - A caller reported an accident on CRs 100N and 200E. No injuries were reported and an accident report is being completed.

COUNTY ACCIDENT

Tuesday

7:49 p.m. - Joshua G. Fiscus, 16, 533 W. Graham Road, was driving south on S.E. 11th Street near Highland Avenue when he lost control of the 1999 Jeep Wrangler he was driving. He slid off the road, hit a concrete embankment and then overturned. No injuries were reported and damage was between $5,000 and $10,000.

ARRESTS

Christopher Russell, 29, Washington, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff¹s deputies Tuesday on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence for receiving stolen property, petition to revoke for possession of meth, petition to revoke for dealing in meth, possession of precursors with intent to manufacture and resisting law enforcement. He was being held at the Daviess County Security Center without bond.

Joseph Little, 27, Poland, Ind., was arrested by sheriff¹s deputies Monday on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence for conversion. He was released on $2,500 bond.
