WASHINGTON — CITY REPORT

Thursday

1:03 a.m. - Karen Hulsey, of 511 S. Meridian St. reported a subject possibly hiding the bushes behind her residence. She stated she didn’t see anyone, but could hear coughing.

Wednesday

11:28 p.m. - A caller said a subject driving an ATV recklessly west on Maxwell Avenue. Officers could not find the driver.

COUNTY REPORT

Thursday

10:07 p.m. - A caller reported 50 cows out of their pen near CR 1200E. The cattle were rounded up.

3:33 p.m. - A North Daviess bus driver said a female driver in a white Chevrolet blazer, talking on a cell phone, passed through a stop arm on U.S. 50 near a day care.

10:47 a.m. - A male caller located a marijuana plant on his property off of CR 1175E. Deputies met with the caller and a report was made.

6:18 a.m. - A caller said an abandoned moped was found on CR 400N. The owner of the scooter was found and picked it up.

ARRESTS

Scott M. Butler, 21, Washington, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Wednesday for theft, receiving stolen property and serious violent felony possession of a firearm. He was being held at the Daviess County Security Center without bond.

Matthew G. Baxter, 21, Washington, was arrested by deputies Wednesday for theft, receiving stolen property and serious violent felony possession of a firearm. He was being held at the Daviess County Security Center without bond.

Dave M. Armstrong, 43, Washington, was arrested by city police Thursday for false informing and a writ of attachment from Grant County. He was being held without bond.
