“I have been extremely involved in my profession and community, and most of my current terms end in 2014. Therefore, I will have the time needed to effectively serve as county commissioner,” said Gabhart. My family has lived in Daviess County since the 1800’s and I have called it home most of my life. I grew up in the west end of Washington in a single parent family and am now a CEO and I am truly as proud of my roots as I am my current success. I have been extremely blessed throughout my life, however, without hard work, determination, and the good Lord above, none of it would have been possible. Ultimately, I am running for county commissioner because I want my children to want to come back and raise their families here. Too often, the younger generations move away due to lack of opportunities locally. I feel I can use my strong leadership skills, work ethic and business experience to help Daviess County achieve its full potential.”
Gabhart and his brother raise cattle on their farm in Alfordsville. He and his wife Beth have three children, Kaitlyn 14, Ashley 12, and Ethan 6.
