---- — The local chapter of Psi Iota Xi held its Christmas party on Dec. 3 at the Hub at Antioch Christian Church.
The group was welcomed by committee members Lori Osmon, Karen Murray, Roberta Wichman and Denise Newland. Honorary sisters who have been members for 20 years or more received a special warm welcome.
Everyone brought wrapping paper to be donated toward Jubilee Christmas, the local support group for families and children in need during this time of the year.
Lorie Osmon read the book “Snowflakes Fall”. This book was written by Patricia MacLachlan an iIllustrated by Steven Kellogg. Proceeds from sales will go to Sandy Hook school victims. As our youth librarian, she promotes this project to help families during the holidays who lost a child in this tragic event last year.
Sisters present at the party were Karen Murray, Denise Newland, Lori Osmon, Christine Myers, Roberta Wichman, Barbara Perkins and guest Casey Wegloski, Terri Resler, Lacey Inman, Tracey Keith, Lori West, Nichole Ke, Marijo Kane, Elke Guratzsch, Kathy Slowik, Shelly Ryan, Amy Haag, Kay Stoll, Linda Strosnider, Pat Williams, Barbara Wildridge, Phyllis Alford, Jamie Halter, Julie Halter, Stephanie Streepy and Trish Knepp.
The next meeting will be on Jan.7, 2014.
